We believe that the Lord has called us to have His heart for reaching people with the good news of Jesus Christ. That's why Fellowship Chapel has an active and vibrant missions program that seeks to present the gospel to the entire world.

We accomplish this through our Faith Promise program where individuals and families trust that God will provide the resources above and beyond our tithing in order to support our mission efforts. And God has always proven to be faithful.

Each year, the missions committee plans a week long Missions Conference where we focus in on one area of our missions outreach and it is always a treat.

If you would be interested in getting more involved in the Missions effort here at Fellowship, contact Andy Jordan, head of the missions board.

The Faith Promise plan is the way to participate financially in our World Mission Program. This is the 34th anniversary of Faith Promise at Fellowship. Our missions program has grown almost every year since it was introduced in 1976. Be sure to participate again this year. If you are new to Faith Promise, let 2010 be your year to begin. Please look over our list of missionaries.

Is it Biblical?

Yes. Read in II Corinthians, Chapter 9. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give…

How does it work?

After prayerful consideration, designate on the Faith Promise Card an amount you plan to give in the coming year. Your Faith Promise, added to all others, make up our annual mission budget.

Is this like a pledge?

No. You do not sign your name to the card. This is between you and the Lord. The church will not ask you directly for the money.

If I can’t give my Faith Promise, does the missionary support lack?

Not only is this faith on your part, it is also faith on the part of the church. We will trust God to supply, through you or someone else to fi ll a gap.

Can I give to missions without making a Faith Promise?

Certainly, but a Faith Promise helps us set the budget up front and not wait to the end of the mission year to dispense any excess. Our challenge goal for 2010-2011 is $98,000, made up of the total of all Faith Promises received. Pray as to what you and your family are able to do for the coming year.

Remember that when you do make a Faith Promise, not to take the money from your regular church offering so that the general fund suffers. You may start giving to next year’s budget on February 21, 2010. Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!
